Welcome
Welcome to the St Mary’s Ardmore website. We hope that the information contained in these pages will give you a feel for the good work that is going on at our club, thanks to the many volunteers who give freely of their time and energy.
St Mary’s is very much a community club with a proud history of Gaelic football. Founded in 1938, the club celebrates its 70th birthday this year. All members of the community are welcome to join the club, irrespective of gender, class, colour,
creed, ability or sexual orientation. We now cater for over 100 underage players from age 6-18 in addition to 50 adult males and females. One of the welcome features of recent years has been the increasing number of female members
taking an active part in the work of the club.
For 2008 we have set ourselves three goals:
Firstly, to further develop our provision for the U-8, U-10 and U-12 age groups.
Secondly, to secure the funding we need to complete the purchase of land for development purposes.
Thirdly, to increase our fund-raising capacity to the level needed to enable us to achieve our goals.
We welcome more people from the community to get involved in the work of the club. We need your help, support and participation if we are to succeed. Why not join us today?
