Welcome

Welcome to the St Mary’s Ardmore website. We hope that the information contained in these pages will give you a feel for the good work that is going on at our club, thanks to the many volunteers who give freely of their time and energy.

St Mary’s is very much a community club with a proud history of Gaelic football.
Founded in 1938, the Club has produced many illustrious teams and players over the years. Recently, we have been trying to improve provision for younger children, boys and girls, and the growth in numbers at U-8 level reflects this. We are striving to increase participation at all underage levels but this is a struggle at times without proper facilities and without sufficient volunteers willing to give of their time.

St Mary’s is an all-inclusive Club. It is open to all sections of the community, irrespective of class, colour, creed or ability. We invite people of all ages to get involved in some aspect of the Club’s activities, be it playing, coaching, driving, grounds work, committee work or fund raising. The club needs constant fund-raising to enable it to cater for the young people. If you are willing to help, just contact any Club member or leave a message on the website. You can also support the Club by switching your telephone provider to Gaelic Telecom; by doing this you save 10% on your bill and the Club gets a 15% donation from Gaelic Telecom. For more information see website or contact a committee member.

For the coming season,
our aim is to consolidate the work done at Underage level and to have our senior ladies and men’s teams compete with the best on the field of play.
We also hope to continue our search for a suitable site for the development of facilities for the Club.
We welcome more people from the community to get involved in the work of the club. We need your help, support and participation if we are to succeed. Why not join us today?
